The Beauty of Being Present in Nature
A deep sense of calm fills my entire being, much like the peaceful mornings of spring that I cherish with all my heart. I feel joyful, dear friend, so absorbed in the gentle stillness around me that I forget everything else.
Alone in this quiet place meant for souls like mine I feel connected to something greater. I’m so at peace that I lose track of time and even forget my talents. I can’t bring myself to create anything in this moment, yet I feel more inspired than ever before.
As mist fills the valley and sunlight filters through the thick leaves above, I lie in the tall grass near a flowing stream. From the ground, I notice tiny plants and hear the soft buzzing of insects all around. I marvel at their delicate forms and feel a deep connection to the Creator, whose love surrounds and sustains us.
When shadows fall and everything blurs together in my eyes earth, sky, spirit I’m overwhelmed with emotion. I long to express these feelings, to turn them into something others can see and feel, as clearly as I feel them inside.
But it’s too much for me to hold. The beauty of these moments is so powerful, I can only let them wash over me.
